3 Day Disney World Package

Disney World is the most popular vacation destination in the world for a reason. The fun and memories you and your family will have at Disney are worth the money. That being said, a Disney vacation is more costly than you what you might spend for the same number of days on another vacation because of the cost of theme park tickets. When planning a Disney vacation, take into account the expenses for every aspect of vacation. Then make a plan to save money on areas where you can get discounts and deals.

Disney Vacation Costs to Include:

  • Transportation to Orlando
  • Hotel accommodations in Orlando

  • Souvenirs

Disney World Cost Calculator

The cost of a Disney vacation can vary widely depending on what time of year you go, how many people are on your trip, and how many days you stay. We made a vacation plan for 2 adults and 2 kids on a 3 day 2 night Disney World vacation as an example of how much a Disney trip costs. You can use our calculations and adjust it to the number of nights you will be staying. Keep in mind, when you buy Disney tickets for more than one day, the cost of the tickets goes down as you add more days. Also, see our article about the cheapest time to go to Disney to take into consideration the changes in Disney ticket costs and other Orlando travel costs throughout the year.

Cost of Transportation to Orlando

If you are flying to Orlando, Florida, you can compare flights throughout the year. You’ll save money on both park tickets and flight by visiting Orlando during off season. Some of the cheapest times to visit are September – mid November, early December, and January through the beginning of March. You’ll have to do your own flight comparisons to decide when is the best time for you to visit. Expect flight costs to double during peak times including Spring Break and the winter holidays (last two weeks of December and first week of January).

Cost of Hotels in Orlando

We can help you with more specifics on the hotel costs. When visiting Disney, you have a multitude of options for accommodations. You can stay on-site within the Disney complex, where prices are a little steeper but transportation to and from the parks are included. Off site, there are many hotels nearby ranging from economy rooms to luxury suites. Some of them include transportation to the parks, while others will require you to rent a car and pay parking or take the city bus.

Disney offers the following options for lodging with different price ranges:

  • Value (Includes Disney’s All-Star resorts and camping at Fort Wilderness, starting around $100 a night to camp in your own tent or $140 per night for a hotel room.)
  • Moderate (Includes the Caribbean Beach Resort and cabins at Fort Wilderness, as an example. Ranges from about $300 per night and up.)
  • Deluxe (Includes the Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Ranges from about $400 per night and up.
  • Deluxe Villas (includes The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa for example. Ranges from around $450 per night up to $1,200 per night or more.)

You can find hotel rooms within all of these prices or less within 2 miles of Disney. By bundling your hotel and Disney ticket costs through a vacation package, you will save money on both. You also ensure a smoother vacation experience with the assistance and expertise of a reputable Disney vacation package agent.

Cost of Food at Disney

You can save some money by booking a hotel where breakfast comes included. We budgeted $20 per person for lunch and dinner over 3 days in the cost chart below. While you can save some money on kids’ meals and fast casual dining, if you plan to enjoy more elegant meals at Disney, you’ll have to increase your budget for this.

Disney Tickets Cost

In our projection, we selected two adult tickets (age 10 and over) and two kids tickets (age 3 to 9) during mid-March. If you can go during off season during late January, you will comparably spend about $150 less on park tickets for 3 day Disney tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids. On the other hand, if you get a park hopper pass that allows you to visit more than one Disney park in a day, you will spend about $320 more for three days. The tickets we included in our Disney trip budget are for One Park Per Day.
