That being said, if you love a fast pace, you may want to save Epcot for your next visit and visit the more action-packed Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios on your first 3 day Disney vacation.
Animal Kingdom for Animal Lovers
Aside from the great rides, a big focus of Animal Kingdom’s nature areas and shows is learning about animals and protecting their environment. It is a fast-paced, fun park. But you will also leave with a lot more information about endangered species, their habitats, and the importance of caring for the planet. In the “Affection Section”, kids are able to interact up close with the animals with the help of the park guides. The shows at Animal Kingdom are all based on movies featuring animals, such as the Finding Nemo musical and Up! A Great Bird Adventure. You’ll also get the chance to meet characters at Animal Kingdom that you can’t meet at any other park, like Rafiki from the Lion King and Pocahontas.
Hollywood Studios for Movie Lovers
If you love Pixar, movie history, or Star Wars, then Hollywood Studios is the winner for you. At Pixar Place, you get to meet the characters from Pixar films including Monsters, Inc. and The Incredibles. You get to experience some of your favorite movies as though you’re inside the film, like Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Arc and Toy Story. You can also catch the “Beauty and the Beast” live musical show at Hollywood Studios.
One of the biggest pulls for Hollywood Studios is the entire Star Wars section called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. There are two Star Wars themed rides – Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Star Wars Millennium Falcon. You can also find a real X-Wing ship that was used in The Mandalorian at the exit of Rise of the Resistance.
Which Is Better?
Both of these parks are worth visiting. In a close battle, animal lovers prefer Animal Kingdom while movie lovers choose Hollywood Studios.
